Coombe Cottage at Brockholes Farm comes ready to use: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all covered. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave, so you can cook properly rather than making do. Washing machine and tumble dryer are on hand for longer stays. All essentials are sorted, leaving you to focus on the holiday itself.
The cottage sleeps eight across four bedrooms: two doubles with ensuite bathrooms on the ground floor, and two rooms with single beds sharing a further bathroom upstairs. Upstairs there's also a sizeable living room with a Juliette balcony overlooking the valley, and a kitchen-diner where the group can gather. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost, though the surrounding sheep country means it needs to stay on a lead. Parking for three cars is on site.
Brockholes Farm sits along the River Lune between the Howgill Fells and the edge of the Lake District, roughly two miles from Tebay and close to the M6. The grounds include an enclosed seating area with garden furniture and a shared children's play area. The setting suits families after plenty of space, groups who want to self-cater properly, or anyone wanting quick access to three national parks without being in the thick of the tourist crush.

Can not rate this place highly enough, been twice now and planning a 3rd visit.. Stunning views in every direction. Amazing if you have animal loving children.. only a short drive to windmere, good access from M5 motorway. Chances are, highland cows will be blocking the road in. We all found it funny. Coombe cottage was immaculately clean, very big. 8 of us stayed there and never felt on top of each other. Lovely park just outside the cottage. You almost have full access to the farm in day time which is amazing.. highly recommend

A couple of friends and I had our first stay here just for the weekend. For the price we paid we are amazed with it. The cottage was amazing. Warm and cozy. The beds are so comfy. We had our Farm tour with Kim. She is so friendly and brilliant. We will be returning next year, hopefully for a week!!

Perfect stay with friends at Coombe cottage, the accomodation is ideal for 2 families of 4. Dog friendly too. The cottage was clean and tidy, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings are breathtaking, right next to the river. The play park was a great hit with our children age 12-14, with plenty of outdoor space to run around and kick a ball. The farm experiences were fantastic for all ages, we particularly loved feeding the Highland Cattle. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you

Spacious cottage with beautiful views over the river! We went on the farm tour and capybara experience with Anna and we absolutely loved it! Seeing the animals up close and learning about them was amazing! Anna was so lovely! We also did a little river walk! The dinosaur play area was a hit with our children! Lots to explore within half an hour of the farm too! We would definitely stay again, loved every minute! Thank you ❤️
