Brockholes Farm sits along the River Lune, ringed by the Howgill Fells. The cluster of converted farm buildings that make up the site puts you within striking distance of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North Pennines, with walking straight from the grounds and fishing available in the river itself. Penrith is close by; Tebay junction is 2 miles away if you need it.
Mount Cottage is a substantial conversion that accommodates up to seven people across three bedrooms: two doubles with en-suite showers on the ground floor, and three single beds upstairs. There are three bathrooms in total. Upstairs is an open-plan living space with a woodburner, dining area and kitchen equipped to cook properly, plus a study. The essentials are provided—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. An enclosed outdoor seating area overlooks the river and valley; there's also a children's play area shared with other cottages on the farm. You can bring one dog, which needs to stay on a lead (this is sheep country). Smoking is not permitted. The property has private parking for two cars and a river runs through the grounds.

Can not rate this place highly enough, been twice now and planning a 3rd visit.. Stunning views in every direction. Amazing if you have animal loving children.. only a short drive to windmere, good access from M5 motorway. Chances are, highland cows will be blocking the road in. We all found it funny. Coombe cottage was immaculately clean, very big. 8 of us stayed there and never felt on top of each other. Lovely park just outside the cottage. You almost have full access to the farm in day time which is amazing.. highly recommend

A couple of friends and I had our first stay here just for the weekend. For the price we paid we are amazed with it. The cottage was amazing. Warm and cozy. The beds are so comfy. We had our Farm tour with Kim. She is so friendly and brilliant. We will be returning next year, hopefully for a week!!

Perfect stay with friends at Coombe cottage, the accomodation is ideal for 2 families of 4. Dog friendly too. The cottage was clean and tidy, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings are breathtaking, right next to the river. The play park was a great hit with our children age 12-14, with plenty of outdoor space to run around and kick a ball. The farm experiences were fantastic for all ages, we particularly loved feeding the Highland Cattle. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you

Spacious cottage with beautiful views over the river! We went on the farm tour and capybara experience with Anna and we absolutely loved it! Seeing the animals up close and learning about them was amazing! Anna was so lovely! We also did a little river walk! The dinosaur play area was a hit with our children! Lots to explore within half an hour of the farm too! We would definitely stay again, loved every minute! Thank you ❤️
