River View Cottage is a detached, single-storey property on Brockholes Farm, set along the River Lune with the Howgill Fells beyond. Everything is on one level: an open-plan living and dining room with views up the river, a kitchen with electric cooking, two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles) and a bathroom with bath and shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are included. One dog stays free, provided it's kept on a lead; sheep graze locally. The property has its own parking for two cars and a sitting-out area at the front. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

The farm sits two miles from Tebay on the M6, making it straightforward to reach from the motorway. The surrounding landscape puts you within reach of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennines—walking, cycling, fishing and exploration are all nearby. The grounds include a children's play area (shared with the other cottages on site) and access to walks across the owner's land. A river runs through the property, and guests are welcome to fish.

Can not rate this place highly enough, been twice now and planning a 3rd visit.. Stunning views in every direction. Amazing if you have animal loving children.. only a short drive to windmere, good access from M5 motorway. Chances are, highland cows will be blocking the road in. We all found it funny. Coombe cottage was immaculately clean, very big. 8 of us stayed there and never felt on top of each other. Lovely park just outside the cottage. You almost have full access to the farm in day time which is amazing.. highly recommend

A couple of friends and I had our first stay here just for the weekend. For the price we paid we are amazed with it. The cottage was amazing. Warm and cozy. The beds are so comfy. We had our Farm tour with Kim. She is so friendly and brilliant. We will be returning next year, hopefully for a week!!

Perfect stay with friends at Coombe cottage, the accomodation is ideal for 2 families of 4. Dog friendly too. The cottage was clean and tidy, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings are breathtaking, right next to the river. The play park was a great hit with our children age 12-14, with plenty of outdoor space to run around and kick a ball. The farm experiences were fantastic for all ages, we particularly loved feeding the Highland Cattle. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you

Spacious cottage with beautiful views over the river! We went on the farm tour and capybara experience with Anna and we absolutely loved it! Seeing the animals up close and learning about them was amazing! Anna was so lovely! We also did a little river walk! The dinosaur play area was a hit with our children! Lots to explore within half an hour of the farm too! We would definitely stay again, loved every minute! Thank you ❤️
