Brow View Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
View on Google MapsBrow View Cottage stands on 20 acres of open pasture in the Eden Valley, surrounded by the kind of countryside that draws people to walk and cycle straight from the door. The Howgill Fells rise nearby, and Ravenstonedale village is a short distance away. Kirkby Stephen itself sits within reach of both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, making this a natural base for exploring either.
The cottage occupies a converted stone barn dating from the mid-1800s. Ground floor has two bedrooms—one with a king bed and pull-out single, the other with zip-and-link beds—and two bathrooms including a wet room. A kitchen, dining space and living area with woodburner occupy the first floor as one open room, where a smart TV and DVD player are provided. Underfloor heating runs through the hallway and bathroom. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, as are initial logs for the burner. There's parking for two cars on site, a bike store, and an enclosed patio with garden furniture and barbecue.
One dog stays free. The property is non-smoking. Children are welcome; a travel cot and highchair are available. An old covered well sits in the grounds 8 metres from the cottage.
