Butterfly Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
Butterfly Cottage suits families and larger groups looking for space and seclusion. The three bedrooms—a super kingsize with ensuite on the ground floor, a kingsize and two singles upstairs—accommodate six guests across two bathrooms. The ground floor opens into a living area with freeview television and a dining kitchen equipped for cooking; a separate downstairs toilet and the main ensuite add practical convenience for a full household.
The cottage occupies several acres of mature grounds on Low Jock Scar estate, where walking paths wind through woodland and seasonal colour. A private hot tub sits on the patio alongside garden furniture and a barbecue area. Parking for one car is included. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are provided; laundry facilities are available on request. The grounds slope and include steps, and a beck runs nearby—both worth noting with younger children or those with mobility considerations. No smoking is permitted.
Bannisdale Beck edges the property, its sound a constant presence. The location sits a few miles north of Kendal, within reach of Fawcett Forest and the wider Lake District. Wainwright's Horseshoe walk passes close by via one of two listed bridges that mark the estate boundary.
