Tulip Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
Tulip Cottage sits ground floor throughout: a single open-plan living and dining space, a kitchen with electric cooker and microwave, one double bedroom, and a shower room with heated towel rail. A woodburner warms the space; logs are provided. The essentials—electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels—are included, and laundry facilities are available by request.
The cottage occupies part of Low Jock Scar, a country estate a few miles north of Kendal where mature gardens and woodland slope down to Bannisdale Beck. The grounds are shared with other holiday properties; guests have use of a lawned garden with patio, seating and a barbecue, plus parking for one car. A beck runs close by and there are steps through the grounds. The woodland changes throughout the year—bluebells in late spring, then autumn colour—and attracts woodpeckers, deer and hares. The estate sits within reach of both the Lake District and the Dales, making it a practical base for exploring either.
