Cattle Cake Cottage

Cattle Cake Cottage is a converted barn in the village of Askham, sleeping four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen fitted for proper cooking, and the main bedroom with its own ensuite shower. Upstairs is a second bedroom with zip-and-link beds. The essentials are covered: heating via air source pump with underfloor heating on the ground floor, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. There is private parking for one car and an electric vehicle charging point on site.

The cottage comes with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. One small dog can stay free. A front garden with seating and furniture provides outdoor space. The village of Askham sits in northern Cumbria, close enough to reach Penrith, Pooley Bridge and Ullswater, though far enough away to feel genuinely quiet. A pub is within walking distance. No smoking inside.
