View on Google Maps

Cosy Nook is a traditional three-storey terraced cottage, built in the 19th century for bobbin mill workers. The building retains character throughout, from its cottage-style windows to the compact, narrow staircase climbing between floors. Ground level holds the main living space, with seating, a fold-away dining table and a kitchen equipped for everyday cooking. Two double bedrooms occupy the first and second floors—the upper one accessed by steep stairs—each with an ensuite or bathroom. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all provided.

The cottage sits in a quiet corner of Ambleside, yet the town centre—with its shops, cafés and pubs—is an easy walk away. Windermere's shoreline and Waterhead pier lie nearby for lake cruises, and serious fell walkers have immediate access to some of the Lake District's best routes. There is parking for one car on site, and a small outdoor bench for morning coffee or an evening drink. The property suits two couples or a family of four. Note that the internal stairs are steep and narrow in places.
