Curlew Lodge
Westmorland and Furness
Curlew Lodge is a three-bedroom lodge sleeping six, set on 7 acres of grounds within a small lodge park. Everything happens on the ground floor: an open-plan living and dining space with a wood-effect electric stove, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and full-size fridge, and three bedrooms with a king bed, zip-and-link twin beds, and bunk beds. The single bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, with a natural water supply from the property's own borehole.
The real draw is the private hot tub for six on the decking, and the surrounding grounds with garden furniture, a barbecue area, and a children's play area that the lodge shares with other properties on-site. The 7 acres also contain a wildlife pond and small stream. One dog can stay free but must be kept on a lead; the area is working farmland. There is parking for two cars on-site. No smoking indoors. Ravenstonedale village is nearby, and Kirkby Stephen—a market town with independent shops and restaurants—is within reasonable reach.
