Granton Lodge
Westmorland and Furness
The Lake District's eastern shore is within arm's reach—Bowness sits a short drive away, its shops and restaurants overlook the water, and the Hawkshead ferry crosses to quieter villages on the opposite bank. Walks start from the doorstep through Storrs Park, a residential enclave on the slopes above Windermere. The lodge occupies a quiet spot with views across the lake toward the fell-side beyond.
Granton Lodge is a detached house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping four guests. The ground floor holds a sitting room with Smart TV and a wood-burning stove, a separate dining room opening to the garden, and a fitted kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and full-size appliances for proper cooking. Bedroom 1 has two single beds and an ensuite; the ground floor shower room serves the rest of the house. Upstairs, two double bedrooms occupy the first floor, one with its own bathroom. An enclosed garden with patio and seating wraps around the property. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included; there is private parking for three cars and a bike store. The house does not permit smoking.
The location suits families or groups wanting Lake District walking and water access without staying in a busy town centre, and those with older children or limited mobility will find the ground floor bedroom and level access useful.
