Lowther Cottage sits within a conservation village designed by Robert Adam in the 1770s, built as workers' housing on the Lowther Castle Estate. The sandstone terraced cottage retains its listed character while offering straightforward modern comfort: three bedrooms (one king, one king, two singles), two shower rooms, and a kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included, and initial logs for the woodburner come supplied.
The ground floor brings together a living room with woodburner and TV, plus a kitchen and dining area that opens onto an enclosed patio garden—useful for sitting out or storing bikes. Parking is available for two cars. The village location puts Ullswater and the Northern Lakes within easy reach, while the Eden Valley stretches in the other direction; Penrith market town is four miles away. No smoking throughout. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
