Upstairs are three bedrooms—a double and two singles—served by a bathroom and separate shower room. The cottage sleeps five and is yours alone, with parking for two cars on site and wi-fi throughout. Bed linen and towels come as standard; heating and electricity are included in the cost.

The property sits in Low Nibthwaite, a quiet rural hamlet within Westmorland and Furness. A river runs at the foot of the garden (about 100 yards away and unfenced), where you have private fishing rights. The large lawned garden has a patio with seating. A garage offers storage for walking and cycling kit, which matters here—trails onto the fells and around Coniston Water start from your doorstep. A pub and restaurant are roughly a mile away; shops are four miles.

One dog can stay free. The property is non-smoking throughout.
