Riverside House

The Lake District is within reach for day trips, and Kendal itself has shops, restaurants and riverside walks. The surrounding countryside offers immediate access to fell walks and quieter valley routes. For larger groups—families gathering for a milestone, friends on a long weekend, or people wanting shared space to cook and eat together—Riverside House provides the room to do it properly.

The property is a refurbished Victorian building with seven bedrooms and five bathrooms across three floors, sleeping up to 16. The main living space is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with large doors opening to the gardens and lawn. Additional reception rooms offer quieter corners when the group splits. Most bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Throughout, bed linen and towels are provided, along with WiFi and electricity; the kitchen is equipped for cooking from scratch. Outside, there's a hot tub, an outdoor fireplace, terrace seating and parking on site. One well-behaved pet can come free of charge. The house is no-smoking.
