Kendal sits at the threshold of the Lake District, with the Yorkshire Dales equally close by. Spring Cottage occupies a rural spot that gives you access to both landscapes without the crowds of the popular tourist centres. The barn conversion is one of three on a small complex, with its own courtyard, garden and private parking.
Inside, the ground floor is an open living space with a woodburner and French doors opening onto the courtyard. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and the usual appliances for a week's self-catering. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two with king beds (one with an en-suite bath and shower), one with two single beds. A second bathroom serves the rest of the house. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if you need them. The property is entirely yours for the duration of your stay, and one well-behaved dog can come along free of charge. No smoking indoors.
Kirkby Lonsdale is twenty minutes' drive away; Ingleton with its waterfall walk is thirty. The M6 is within easy reach for touring further afield. The village pub is close enough to reach on foot.
