Staveley village sits between Kendal and Windermere with enough on its doorstep to keep you occupied without a car. A bakery, pub, café and playground are all within a few minutes' walk, and the River Gowan runs past the rear garden. Buses connect to Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick if you want to explore further. More importantly, the fells begin straight from the village—short loops and full-day routes are accessible on foot.
The Chapel itself is a converted building with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping four (or five with the trundle bed in the twin room). The ground floor holds a kitchen with a full range of appliances for cooking, a living room with a woodburner and smart TV, and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king-size bed with its own shower room; the other has two single beds plus a pull-out single. There is off-road parking for two cars and a small enclosed garden with furniture overlooking the river. Essentials like heating, electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. The property is non-smoking.
