Woodland Retreat Lodge

Woodland Retreat Lodge is fully equipped for self-catering, with electricity, bed linen and towels provided throughout your stay. The kitchen is fitted with everything needed to cook properly—dishwasher, coffee machine, and full appliances—while the open-plan living space receives light from two aspects and opens directly onto the bedroom. A king bed and walk-in shower complete the single en-suite.

This two-person property sits on South Walney Nature Reserve at Cumbria's southern tip, surrounded by dunes and bounded by the sea. The location draws bird-watchers and wildlife enthusiasts; eider ducks, sandwich terns, oystercatchers and ringed plovers are common sightings depending on season, and grey seals surface at high tide. Binoculars and identification guides are on hand. Multiple trails cross the dunes from the lodge, offering windswept walks at any time of year. A pub lies within a mile, and the coast is equally close. The property is ground-floor throughout with ample off-road parking. No smoking is permitted.
