Would not recommend this hotel for anyone who is disabled or a wheelchair user. The owner expected a person who is severely disabled and unsteady on her feet to climb two flights of stairs to their accommodation as there is no lift in the property. Had we known this, we wouldn’t of have booked this premises Secondly this property is advertised as ‘pet friendly’, the owner complained that our cat had left the room smelling horrendous, could it be that he checked the room not long after our cat had been in litter tray which would of explained the ‘horrendous smell’ he apparently complained of? Because we could not smell a thing in the room, our cat is litter trained. But for him to get ‘special cleaners’ in is a slight over reaction, because our cat had not marked her territory whatsoever. If he didn’t want a cat staying at his property advertise this hotel as a dog only property but oh wait he would lose out on ££s doing that We could not open the window in the room out of fear that our cat may escape through it hence why we could not open it for fresh air, she did not scratch any furniture nor marked her territory in the room and she used her litter tray at all times because she is an litter trained cat. Thirdly we had medication stolen, my partner had a strip of vital medication taken, we turned the room upside down, three times. No sign of such medication and I very much doubt the owner actually checked the bins like he claimed he apparently did because the medication was not in the room. And as a result this left my partner feeling withdrawals from missing this vital medication for 48 hours The only good things I can say about this property is that it’s close to the beach front a 15 minute walk to the town centre, it was quiet all the nights we were there and the bed was comfortable and it had a fridge, which is something not many hotels supply . But that’s about all the good things that can be said about this property, good size room and clean en-suite This is a general review. This is not an intentional way to get back at the owner in any shape or form. This is our feedback from the stay.
