About Bayliss Hall Guesthouse

The Esplanade at Weymouth runs along the seafront with the beach and the wider sweep of the Jurassic Coast in view, and Bayliss Hall Guesthouse occupies a spot right on this stretch, giving many of its rooms a direct outlook over the water.

This is an adults-only B&B with straightforward, en-suite rooms, some looking out to sea, and the option of drinks brought to your room. A full English breakfast is included, reception runs around the clock, and free WiFi is available throughout for anyone who needs to stay connected.

The seafront setting puts walking and cycling routes on the doorstep, along with watersports, fishing and golf nearby, and there are pubs, restaurants and other places to eat and be entertained close by. It's a simple, well-placed base for exploring Weymouth and the coast beyond.

Had a weekend break at the Bayliss B&B. Good communication prior to arrival explaining the routine for the premises, how to gain access and parking. A useful video explained the do's and don'ts. Upon arriva (Saturday morning) there was nowhere to park in the area of the premises. It is a busy area with limited spaces, I do know the area so I was not that surprised. The room was on the top floor, a nice view, the room was simple and functional for our needs and was clean and tidy. We contacted the owners via text and they activated a parking permit for my car for when a space became available. We dropped off our bags and then went out until the afternoon. When I returned I was fortunate enough to get a parking space a short distance from the B&B, my car stayed there for the duration of my stay. The bed in the room was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The only downside was the poor pressure from the shower. It was really just a trickle and not very adequate for washing properly. The breakfast was nice, I had the large full English. It was well cooked and set me up nicely for the day ahead. The breakfast room is in the basement, the tables were clean and there was a good choice of breakfast options. Overall the B&B suited our needs for the weekend, it is very much no frills, but ideal if you just want a base to enjoy Weymouth from. There are no reception staff on the premises, no bar and if you struggle with stairs you might find the rooms on the top floor a bit of a hike. It's basic and good value but I probably wouldn't want to stay more than two nights.

Superb location, right on the beach face (less then 30 second walk), very good communication via booking.com, we got there 3 hours early and allowed for us to have an early check in. Easy check in, even easier check out. Room were of a fairly good standard also. Had a few hiccups with breakfast, we swapped items out for something else or did a build your own type breakfast and a few items got messed up. Was good once arrived though and a good start to the day.

The guest house was incredibly clean throughout and is in a perfect location for both the beach and the harbour. Our room had great views over the beach at Weymouth and the stunning coastline. The owners were very helpful and gave us some great advice on what to do in the local area. We also really enjoyed the breakfast at Quayside which is only a short walk from the guest house and offers a fantastic range of breakfast options.

Very relaxing enjoyable week. Lovely room best view ever over sea & beach. Large flat screen TV for when we opted to watch Euro footie in room rather than pub. Super comfortable bed. Few mins walk to beach or harbour. We received breakfast vouchers from our hosts Gregg & Glen & had very healthy & yummy breakfasts in EBike Cafe. We happened to be there for the Veterans weekend & Gregg & Glen kept us informed of the itinerary for this event. Thank you.
