About Sailors Return Weymouth

Real ales and classic pub grub set the tone at Sailors Return Weymouth, a quayside inn on St Nicholas Street offering straightforward bed and breakfast accommodation above the bar. It's a no-frills base for anyone who wants to be close to the harbour without paying for extras they won't use.

Rooms are simple and en-suite, with family rooms available for those travelling with children, and free WiFi throughout. Breakfast is included, packed lunches can be arranged for days out, and drinks can be brought to your room. The bar downstairs serves as the heart of the place, with 24 hour reception on hand and a laundry service for longer stays. Free on-site parking is provided, which is a useful bonus in a busy harbourside town.

Weymouth's quay is on the doorstep, with pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach, along with walking and cycling routes and opportunities for watersports and fishing. A golf course lies nearby too, and there's local entertainment for evenings when you'd rather not venture far. It's a practical, unpretentious stop for exploring the Dorset coast.

Wouldn’t even give a star rating to this pub. Barmaid needs sacking. Absolutely disgusting the comments she made to my friend. Regarding her body. Then tried to brush it off when confronted by someone else in our group by saying ‘I’ve given her a free drink for her birthday’ Oh does that make it alright then luv? NO ITS DOESN’T! Shouldn’t be working in hospitality or any customer based business. Sort yourself out mate! Whoever owns this bar needs a word with their staff and to take a look into who they are employing to work behind their bar.

We had a lovely friendly welcome from Kirsty on arrival, the pub is in a fantastic location on the harbour side , close to everything. The room was ok , it could do with a coat of paint, its basic and the building is old, the bedding was clean and the room had a fab view . I would say, staying a Saturday night is loud and noisy, but we knew this before we booked ! Don’t book over the weekend if you go to bed at 9pm ! The breakfast was served hot and well cooked, the BEST breakfast out for a long time. The lady that served us was welcoming and all the locals were friendly. The best thing was watching the locals get their boats ready for day whilst eating breakfast. We would book again.

Craving a fantastic full English breakfast? This spot is a must-try! They serve up the best I've had in ages. Keep in mind, booking might be a good idea as they have limited seating and no outdoor tables. But if you're looking for a classic full English with all the delicious extras, this is the place to be!
