About The Leam Hotel

The Esplanade curves along Weymouth seafront, and The Leam Hotel occupies a spot right on this stretch, looking straight out over the beach and bay. It's an easy base for exploring the town, with the promenade, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance, and cycling and walking routes along the coast for those who want to get further afield.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, some with sea views over the Esplanade, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. There's a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast is served each morning, and free WiFi and drinks in the room round out the practical extras. A lift and 24-hour reception make things straightforward for guests arriving at any hour. It's worth noting that maintenance in some rooms and occasional plumbing niggles have been raised by past visitors, so it's not a polished, luxury stay, but staff are consistently described as friendly and welcoming.

Beyond the hotel, Weymouth offers golf and fishing nearby, watersports along the coast, and plenty of entertainment options within reach. For the price, the location alone - steps from the sand - makes The Leam a practical choice for a seaside stay.

Excellent Value for money, clean and tidy, Ideally suited for beach access as it across the road. Literally down the road from the Swannary carpark. Excellent tasty breakfast and late serving, so no rush, plus departure 11am.

Booked through booking.com. Had a phone call a day or so later asking me to cancel my booking, book directly through the hotel which saves money and they'll throw in breakfast for free for my stay as a thank you. Breakfast is free regardless. I asked if there was a lift as I'll be staying for a few nights... Was told yes. Was told I'd be put in the biggest room advertised with the TV between the windows and bed facing The windows. When I got there a very friendly guy checked me in, took my luggage upstairs... No lift to the room. Put me in room 18 and kept advertising room 20, twice the size for the same price. Would try and get me in there even though booked up. Found much better elsewhere, checked out and refunded.

Family holiday was more like holiday from hell I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Absolutely disgusting toilet blocked everytime you used it. Sink would not drain water unless held up with a spoon had to wear shoes in the shower it was filthy stained bedding then the curtain rail came out the wall completely just missing my son. They cancelled my room but not my kids put me in another room which smelt like a mens urinal so refused so my son had a mattress on the floor. Breakfast we'll half a mushroom 1 sausage 10 beans 1 piece of bacon bread cause it wasn't toasted then it went cold cause u had to wait for butter. This place should be shut down I will never recommend this place to anyone oh and no wifi that they say they have. They should be offering money back or pay me to stay
