The owner lady is very friendly and helpful. She explained everything when we arrived. She left a box of chocolates in our rooms. She has menus of local restaurants, which is nice for people visiting the town to see where's best to eat. The rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Pillows are perfect. Great night's sleep. Curtains are thicc and don't let in any light. Continental cold breakfast only. No cooked breakfast, however she is very generous with the food. She put out croissants and toast, with ham and cheese and a selection of jams and a wide variety of cereal and coffee and tea. All the things you would expect and more. But no fried eggs. The showers are very confusing and not standard and she didn't explain that you have to pull a cord outside in order for hot water to work. This is why it's not a 5 star. The rooms have furniture, and big TVs and soaps and towels. Tea, coffee, chocolates and a kettle are all put out and replenished every day. The ensuit doesn't have a toilet. Only a shower. Which means you share a toilet with everybody else staying on your floor. Not ideal, but it works. There are quite a few nice surprises which made the stay enjoyable. I would go back there, and recommend it to friends

The room was basic, with double bed and a single bed, shower and sink but didn't have a toilet. This was a shared toilet with other guests down the landing, which we didn't realise when we booked as other rooms were advertised as a shared bathroom but this said it had a shower and didn't mention we had to share a toilet The room was advertised including breakfast which we had to make ourselves, which we were offered packets of cold ham, cheese slices from a small fridge in the dining room in a Tupperware box and bread with the option of making our own toast. If we wanted a hot breakfast then we could warm small pots of baked beans in the microwave to have with the toast. There was a choice of cereals and crisps, chocolate biscuits, bananas and cartons of fruit juice , water and tea and coffee .it was basically self service breakfast but no bacon or sausage in sight! And for what was offered to eat it seemed a bit overpriced. We did get biscuits and chocolate in the room though which was a nice touch along with tea and coffee making facilities. However, the landlady was lovely and pleasant and gave us some tips on where to go on a night.

Very friendly host. As I travel by bicycle and trailer, they stored both securely for me. The stay had all creature comforts, a bicycle traveller ever needs. Thanks
