Shaplands Barn comes fully equipped for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer, so you can cook proper meals. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included; wood for the woodburner comes with the booking, with more available locally. Ground floor has a living and dining room with a woodburner, Freeview TV and DVD player, plus a separate toilet. The first floor holds the kitchen, a gallery with a day bed, and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with a zip-and-link kingsize (which can be arranged as two singles). The main bathroom has a bath with shower attachment. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
The barn sits in a quiet village lane within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Gloucestershire. The Cotswolds Way passes through the village, making it straightforward to access walking routes. The setting suits families or groups wanting a base for exploring the region: Dyrham Park, Westonbirt Arboretum and Lacock are all within reach, Bath is six miles away, and Marshfield village nearby has a shop and gastropubs. There is private parking for two cars on site. Smoking is not permitted inside.
