🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Litet Hem

Collingbourne Ducis is a quiet village in rural Wiltshire, close enough to Marlborough for supplies but surrounded by open countryside. Litet Hem sits here as a self-contained retreat—one bedroom, one bathroom, all on the ground floor and entirely yours for the duration of your stay. The village has two pubs within a mile, including one directly across the road.

Inside, the space is compact and clever. A pull-out double bed (4ft 6in) lives in the bedroom area; the open-plan living space includes a dining table, kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, and a woodburner for cooler evenings. There's no television, but a record player and books make for quieter entertainment. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with firewood. Two cars can park on site.

The real draw is the enclosed garden. It has a gas barbecue, firepit, sitting-out furniture and bike storage—everything for a proper retreat. The garden does have five steps to navigate. Guests find plenty of country walking from the door, and the village location means you're close to Marlborough's shops and restaurants without the noise of a town. No smoking indoors.
