The house itself is a traditional stone building spread across four floors, with cosy en-suite rooms decorated in bright, individual styles. Free WiFi and drinks in the room are standard, and there's a kitchen and laundry service on hand for practical needs. Outside, a garden and outdoor seating area give guests somewhere to sit, while free on-site parking makes arriving by car easy.

Every delail of the room and bathroom was clean and set up for our comfort. The large bedroom and windows including the bathroom enabled us to enjoy the views. Dawn was responsive to our emails and very welcoming and helpful during our stay.

Stayed here for great north swim. Very nice. Rooms good, service excellent, host friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast very nice, thank you It is close to the train station and bus, so for some this will be 5* location. For us, just a bit far from where we wanted to be (hence the slight drop on stars - but note my previous comment on location Parking is limited and tight. On the street outside, with quite steep steps to carry bags up. Parking at the rear is accessible through a narrow tunnel. Not for the nervous driver, but myself and a friend got a BMW 5 series and an Audi Q4 etron through and parked - neither small cars Very nice 2 nights stay, will be checking on availability next time we are in Windermere

Beautiful old house in a silent and very cozy location. Location: Close to the train and bus station. And the best restaurants in this area. Staff: is very friendly and helpful. Rooms: are big and lovely. Bright and shiny. Clean and tidy. Views: are just another separate topic. Please check photos in my review and you will find it

Had a great weekend staying here. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and breakfasts were great. As first-comers to the Lake District they helped us out with maps and bus timetables as well as some tips for walking/hiking. The house is also located near the train station and several good restaurants as well as close enough to the lake to walk. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
