We stayed here for 2 nights in a small double room. There was plenty of room and it was furnished to a high standard. The room and guest house was spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection was also excellent and cooked fresh to order. The cooked breakfast 😋 was excellent 👌. We would definitely recommend this place as a base to stay and you won't be disappointed. We had a very pleasant stay at Hawksmoor Guest House. The location is excellent and very convenient — close to the lake, restaurants, shops, and many local attractions, making it easy to explore the Lake District without spending too much time driving. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The whole guest house has a lovely traditional British style and atmosphere, which made the stay feel warm and authentic. The environment was quiet and relaxing, perfect for a short getaway. Overall, a very convenient and enjoyable place to stay in the Lake District. We would definitely come back again.

Great rooms, good breakfast. 13 mins walk down hill to town and lake Windermere but much harder going coming back, taxi was £5. Good parking. My only issue was trying to get hold of someone, arrived at 1630hrs key was left out, wanted to get a fan for the room but no one around, rung the bell twice, no one came, rung the number but no answer. Left a message and no one returned my call gave up in the end.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The facilities are very well equipped, and the shower gel and shampoo are high-quality brands. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended!
