Couples after a quiet base near Lake Windermere, or walkers wanting a bit of comfort at the end of the day, will find The Coach House fits the bill. With just five rooms, it has the feel of a small guesthouse rather than a large hotel, and its position on Lake Road puts it within easy reach of the lake itself and the town's other attractions.
Despite its size, the property carries facilities more typical of a larger hotel: an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and a spa and sauna for unwinding after a day out. There's a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast is included, and rooms come with drinks provided. Guests arriving by car benefit from free on-site parking, and those wanting extra help have access to porter and concierge services, along with a lift for easier access to rooms.

I stayed at the coach house with my son for 3 days. I was greeted by Mark who was very helpful and welcoming. An extra bed was added to our room, very comfy and nothing was to much bother. Lovely large clean room with mini fridge stocked with milk, water and tea making facilities. Beautiful ensuite. Location is good, easy to get to. And good places to eat & shop and explore nearby We had a fantastic stay at the coach house and are already planning our next visit..... thank you Mark & Emma excellent hosts it was a pleasure to stay at your beautiful B&B

We loved our stay at The Coach House. It was quiet and calming, beautifully decorated and very clean. The location was brilliant and a very easy walk down to the lake. The hosts were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was great.

What a lovely little place. Our room was excellent with TV and fridge. Emma and Mark made us very welcome. Breakfast is Continental style which was brought to our room at the time we requested. The bathroom / shower was just the right size with good water pressure. Lovely and quiet. Just what we wanted and would definitely recommend it.

Traveled with my partner from Scotland. We were met by Mark on arrival and from the time we arrived to the minutes we left we could not fault it at all. Location is ideal as it's a few minutes away walking from both villages. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.
