About The Royal Adelaide Hotel
Kings Road sits within easy walking distance of Windsor Castle and the town centre, and The Royal Adelaide Hotel makes the most of that position, giving guests a base close to the sights without the need for a car. The surrounding streets offer plenty to explore, and the Roald Dahl Museum is among the local points of interest worth a visit.
The hotel has 42 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and the option of drinks brought up on request. Public spaces include a restaurant and bar, a garden, and meeting rooms, while a bridal suite and wedding facilities cater for celebrations. Free WiFi, room service and luggage storage cover the practical side of a stay, and pets are welcome. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a freshly cooked spread and a wide choice on offer each morning.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and ready to help, and rooms are kept clean and comfortable with decent amenities throughout, though some guests have felt the rates run high for what's provided. Beyond the hotel, the area has golf nearby, along with pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach, making it a practical spot for a short break built around the castle and town.
What guests say
Lovely spot and outstanding staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Close to all major attractions with a short walk (10 minutes) and lots of options for pubs nearby. Did not have dinner there during our two night stay but the breakfast was perfect in taste, presentation and options. King sized bed was comfortable. Excellent air conditioning was appreciated during a 34 degree C day. Slept well. Linens were soft and pristine and mattress extremely comfortable. Very accommodating for any special requests. Would absolutely recommend. Hate to say anything not positive but no lift to upper floors may be an issue for some if lots of luggage but, again, staff were all willing to help.

We went for a drink at The Royal Adelaide Hotel this evening. It’s Royal Ascot week and the bar was full of guests who had enjoyed a day at the races. We were greeted by a member of tje bar staff called Harrison. He explained the bar was full and noisy and offered us drinks in the lounge. We decided to stay in the bar. Beautiful decor, comfy chairs and good wine. Harrison was very attentive and ensured we were comfortable. What a lovely place! We’ll be back.

My wife and i stayed this weekend with our little dog "jamal" and we were so pleased with the hotel itself which was amazingly clean but all of the staff who were so welcoming. Even though it was our first time at the hotel we felt like we had been staying there for years. The room "a suite" we had was lovely very spacious, only criticism was there were no flannels or conditioner provided within the room. We had breakfast and the food was super along with the service once again, our little dog even got a sausage. We will be sure to return to this lovely hotel should we stay in the area again and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

Seemed overpriced. A good Premier Inn would have provided a better room at a fraction of the price. An older somewhat tired property, with a late 1970s early 1980s feel to it. The menu also seemed to come from the same era. The cooked breakfast was good. The staff were helpful. Parking very limited and charged for and should be booked in advance. Convenient for the Castle and town.
