Location is beautiful & very tranquil (tiny bit of road noise but nothing massive), picnic tables outside with umbrellas next to the pond are fab. Really nice food from a concise menu, big portions too - you could easily just do 2 starters for a main and not feel hungry afterwards. I was driving so didn't get to try the beers but the offerings looked varied. Staff were lovely & polite too!

The staff get the star but the food was dreadful. We had tomato salsa with buffalo mozzarella - when it arrived we couldn’t even see the mozzarella there were four minute crumbs - most of it was diced onion and one small thin slice of sweet potato - the only taste was the balsamic vinegar dressing - it looked like it had been thrown onto the plate. We also had chicken liver pate which seemed to have come straight from cash and carry it was ‘tough’ and tasteless - definitely not melt in the mouth. Altogether a very disappointing lunch in a beautiful looking pub.

We visited the restaurant for Mother’s Day as a group of 14, including three guests with diary & gluten allergies. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was really good and everyone enjoyed their meals. A fantastic experience all around, and we’ll definitely be back!

My family attended the bat and ball for a late mothers day meal. The pub was busy but that didnt drop the standards in any way, service was great and the food even better! With only 1 item that had run out across the entire menu, rhe day had obviously been planned out extremely well. We have been coming here for years and we will continue to do so
