About The Rowbarge Hotel and Restaurant

The Rowbarge Hotel and Restaurant suits visitors who want somewhere small and unfussy to base themselves in Woking, with a decent kitchen attached rather than a room-only stopover. With just 10 rooms, it has the feel of a local pub that happens to offer beds upstairs, set beside the river in Surrey.

Rooms come with drinks available on request, and the property adds a few extras not always found at this scale, including a lift, a garden, and a spa and sauna for guests who want to unwind after the journey. Breakfast is served on site, and free WiFi and free on-site parking make it a practical option for anyone arriving by car. The restaurant and bar are the heart of the place, known for generous portions, with the Sunday roast and fish and chips singled out as particular strengths, served in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

It also handles more than overnight stays, with meeting rooms and wedding facilities on site, plus porter services and luggage storage for those passing through. Staff are consistently described as friendly, though some guests have noted that management can be inconsistent, so it suits travellers after good food and a comfortable room rather than a slick, corporate hotel experience.

If I could 0 stars I would absolutely shocked!!! The Service was absolutely shocking! And how this landlord is still running a pub is beyond me! The attitude that man has is appalling! The way he speaks down to women is disgraceful! Surprised this pub is still running! Following on from your reply I have no idea what your going on about maybe have bigger issues to attend to I was going off of my own experience

A lovely pub with an intimate bar area that makes a great ‘third space’ for the modern pub go-er. The whole interior is organic and charming, it’s a real liveable space with no plastic in sight. There are however, in light of a noticeable decline in footfall recently, a few suggestions I would make: - There are people who have been many times that did not know you did food and cocktails until I told them. The menus are hidden away and sepia-toned. I’m not suggesting fuchsia, but make them colourful, classy and all over the place. - I see those Bose speakers, and from the other reviews and my own experiences, the music is a great joy of a pub like yours. I’m not suggesting to go full listening bar, but don’t be afraid to play some music you like, and share that passion. - Your instagram has 750 ish followers and there has been no post since April. People are addicted to their phones, get them out into your lovely pub instead. Kindest regards. :)

Had Sunday lunch here and could not find any faults, other than we hadn’t seen this place sooner. Lovely little location in Woking and the Sunday lunch was easily 5 stars. Cheaper than the average around here too. The Mrs also had the garlic bread which I’m not usually a massive fan of but that too was spot on. Our server Connor was a proper gent and made us feel like he couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be back!
