About Seckford Hall Hotel & Spa

Seckford Hall is a red-brick Tudor manor house set in its own grounds just outside Woodbridge, one of Suffolk's grander country house hotels and a long-standing local landmark. The building's history stretches back to the sixteenth century, and much of that character survives in oak panelling, open fires and a moated garden, alongside the more contemporary additions of a spa and leisure complex.

Rooms are individually decorated, ranging from cosy standard doubles to larger suites, many with views across the parkland or the hall's lake. The 1530 Restaurant serves modern British cooking built on Suffolk ingredients, complemented by a separate spa menu, afternoon teas and private dining rooms for special occasions.

The hotel's spa includes an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a range of treatments, making it a popular choice for a weekend away rather than simply an overnight stop. Its position just outside Woodbridge means guests can walk into town for the Tide Mill and museum, or head further afield to Sutton Hoo and the Suffolk coast, while still returning to a quiet, self-contained country estate each evening.

Luxurious, comfortable and amazing staff. Stayed here for a short break to unwind and it was just what we needed. Hotel is a historic building with all the comforts of a modern hotel. Staff were all polite and friendly being attentive but not intrusive. We used the spa for pool, hot tub and massage. All areas were spotlessly clean and our massages with Gabriel were so relaxing. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked with a really good choice. We only had a sharing board in the evening but that was tasty! It is located 6 minutes drive from Woodbridge town centre, and we drove 90 minutes for a day in Southwold. This may be a higher price than other local hotels but is well worth the money.

We spent a wonderful couple of days at Seckford Hall. Our room was spotlessly clean and perfect for us and our Golden Retriever, with a small balcony where she could sit and watch the world go by. Although we couldn't experience the dining room, having our breakfast and evening meal in the bar/breakfast area was ideal and very relaxed. The food was amazing... the steak was one of the best I've had and our dog enjoyed her breakfast time sausage both mornings, the staff made such a fuss over her! In fact all the staff were fabulous, we had such a warm welcome and and the service in the bar and at breakfast was just perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Despite there being a wedding on it really didn't effect our stay the only negative I can think of was the water pressure was rather low..hardly worth mentioning! An amazing stay and we very much look forward to returning.

We had a delightful stay at the hotel. When our allocated room was adjacent to a smelly drain, due to the hot weather, we were transferred to the best room in the house - the bridal suite no less! It was a sensational space which we thoroughly enjoyed. not sure we deserved such a huge upgrade though!

As a disabled guest this place was exceptional! We came for my friend's wedding and we stayed in one of the rooms downstairs which was so accessible with a walk-in shower. Also gave us the option of having a bath as well. My one reservation about this place is that the ramps to get around the building on the ground floor are quite steep. I want to help with that! The food was gorgeous and the staff were super helpful. I wish I had more words to include in this review other than gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!
