Erbistock Mill is a five-bedroom conversion of a working water mill, sleeping up to 10 guests across three floors. The ground floor has a separate toilet. Upstairs, the first floor holds five bedrooms—one with two single beds, four with bunks—plus a bathroom with bath and shower cubicle, and a second separate toilet. On the second floor, the living and dining space opens onto a balcony overlooking the river and weir, while the kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The building retains original features including spiral staircases. Heating is by economy 7 central heating, with supplementary heat available by meter. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and there is parking for one car on site.
The mill stands in woodland on the banks of the River Dee near the hamlet of Erbistock, in the Vale of Llangollen area of Wrexham. A pub is within a mile's walk. The location works well as a base for exploring the region: Llangollen itself has the International Music Eisteddfod venue, Plas Newydd house, and various attractions; Chirk and Ruabon are nearby; Chester is about 30 minutes' drive away. The property suits larger families and groups booking together. No smoking is permitted.

Erbistock Mill is a home from home. I've been coming here with friends for many, many years. In fact, save for a few gaps, almost annually. It's not the most luxurious place you will ever stay, but that adds to it's charm. The ground floor is a kind of TV/games room, the first floor is the bedrooms and bathrooms, and the top floor is the kitchen and lounge. The patio doors up here lead out to a decent sized terrace overlooking the River Dee. The view of the river and surrounding woodland is beautiful and it's nice to just stand there and take it in. Very calming. There's plenty of kitchen equipment but if you'd like to eat out, there's an amazing pub called the Boat about 20/25 minutes walk away. You turn left at the top of the drive. There's also a nearer pub called The Cross Foxes turning right but we much prefer The Boat and it's well worth putting the extra steps in. Definitely book ahead for a table. Maybe a couple of weeks before. If you'd like something very well priced, quirky, peaceful and full of character, Erbistock Mill could be the place for you. Excellent for friends, couples or families (though maybe not toddlers, I'd be a bit on edge with the spiral staircase) to just enjoy the charm it presents. Also this property is definitely not accessible. Finally I'd like to thank the management for their warmth and communication efficiency. It's top notch!

Beautiful place . Right on the river . Wonderful place to wake up and have morning breakfast on the balcony and watch the birds . Really close to some great pubs with The Boat being excellent. Can't recommend this place enough to people who wanna go with a big group of friends to North Wales

A great holiday-lett in a beautiful riverside location. The building is a 4 story former water mill that looks like it was renovated in the late 70's or early 80's. We had 8 people In our party with beds on site for a further 2. Four pairs of bunk beds and two singles that could be pushed together. The Mill is well located for Wrexham and Llangollen.

Beautiful location, quirky charming mill with lots of history and plenty of space. Built right next to weir so lovey sound of running water. Was comfy but very rustic and basic though so if looking for glam is not for you. But is reflected in the price. Could definitely do with a bit of TLC. Spiral staircase throughout with 3 levels and bunk beds that were difficult to get in and out of both top and bottom so not suitable for disabled. If you are looking for a cheap no thrills getaway for a large group in a lovely remote location Erbistock Mill is great value for money.
