Llangollen's Steam Railway, the International Eisteddfod festival and horse-drawn canal boats are minutes away, while Chirk Castle and Erddig belong to the National Trust and lie within easy driving distance. Chester's medieval walls and cathedral make a straightforward outing. A pub stands a quarter-mile down the lane, and shops are roughly a mile off.

Outside, a lawned garden with patio, furniture and barbecue faces the property; private parking for three cars and a cycle store are available. No smoking inside.
