About Inn on the Wye
Inn on the Wye sits at Kerne Bridge, close to Goodrich and its Norman castle, in a stretch of the valley that sees fewer visitors than Symonds Yat itself despite similarly good river views. The inn combines a bar, restaurant and twelve en-suite bedrooms with a busy events side, hosting weddings, functions and meetings alongside its regular trade.
Food ranges from pub classics to Indian dishes, a slightly unusual combination that has become part of the inn's local reputation, and the restaurant and bar keep long, dependable hours through the week.
The location makes it a quiet, well-placed option for visiting Goodrich Castle, walking the riverside paths towards Symonds Yat, or simply using the Wye itself, with direct access to the water from the grounds.

What guests say
We stayed there over the weekend of 18th July for the 50th birthday celebration of a friend. Very nice location. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. The main event was organised in the main hall which easily accomodated about 130 guests. Food was tasty especially the biryani. I will go again if nothing else just for biryani. Catering was flawless. Excellent DJ & PA system. All in all it was a very pleasing stay.

We called in for a spontaneous supper out tonight as it’s been a tough few days. Wow what a gem 🤩 it’s only down the road from us. The food was delicious, all freshly made and local ingredients where possible. We chose from the Indian menu and were very pleased with our choices. Tasty and fresh. The owners are really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It was in a beautiful setting too

It's more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, very pleasant and helpful staff. It is on a roadside but mainly peaceful with lots of rooms, a bar, restaurant, a lounge by the bar, there is a players for younger children, seating outside, plenty of parking, there are some chalets off the main building, reasonably priced in keeping with the area, in close proximity to a castle, river walks, hiking routes and other outdoor activities.

Stayed here after a day on the Wye, Emma and the team were great hosts, we opted for the Indian menu which was stunning, I asked if they could make a curry off the menu which they did, one of the best i have had. My wife had the butter chicken, it was too hot for her but I tried it and if like a little heat it was spot on. We also had the breakfast which was included in he price of the room, I cant day it was out of this world but as far as a full English goes it wasn't to bad at all, I would recommend to them maybe a higher quality sausage the back was awsome lovely think cut Lastly the room - honestly it was clean and tidy but was in much need of a bit of TLC. All in all Amazing Food and Friendly and Helpful Service and great value
