About The Boathouse Wylam
The Boathouse Wylam is a contemporary riverside hotel on Station Road, built with clean, modern lines rather than period grandeur, and set to make the most of its position by the water in Wylam, Northumberland. It's a straightforward, comfortable base rather than a grand country house, with the practical feel of a well-run local hotel.
Rooms are en-suite and come with drinks available in room, and guests have access to free WiFi and 24 hour reception, so arrival times are flexible. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a bar for evening drinks, with a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Luggage storage is available for those breaking up a longer journey through Northumberland.
Wylam itself is known for its walking trails and heritage connections, both within easy reach of the hotel, and there's a golf course nearby for those wanting to fill an afternoon. Pubs, bars and restaurants in the area mean there's no shortage of choice for evening meals beyond the hotel's own bar, and entertainment nearby adds a bit more to do after dark.
