The Wyre area around Preston offers quiet countryside within easy reach of the coast and several market towns. Briar Cottage sits in Pilling village, giving you that rural feel while staying accessible to shops, pubs and local attractions. Everything here is on one level, which matters if you have young children or mobility needs—the layout keeps things simple and practical.
The property has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping up to four guests. The open-plan living and dining space centres on an electric fire and a 60-inch smart TV; the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking anything from breakfast to proper meals, with electric oven, gas hob, air fryer and dishwasher. A sofa bed in the living area provides a fifth sleeping spot if needed. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite, one with a slipper bath and one with a walk-in shower. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. One dog can stay free.
Outside, you have a private enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue, plus a hot tub for five people. There's parking for three cars and an electric car charging point available at cost. The cottage suits families or small groups after a comfortable base for exploring the area without fuss.

Unfortunately I was disappointed this year coming back, the dust on the surfaces, mirrors, dirty mark on face cloth, pictures weren’t good, the shower ensuite had some sort of scum left over on it, when I went into the cupboard where the glasses where kept I came across a few of them had hand prints on them aswell as lip stick marks but on a positive note the bedding, hot tub and everywhere was nice

What an absolutely incredible cottage! It has everything you could possible need and more. The details and hard word that’s gone into making this place what it is has not gone unnoticed! The beds are super comfy with high quality sheets. Each room has an en-suite, one with a gorgeous bath and the other with a modern shower room. The rooms are cosy and have plenty of storage space for personal items and clothes. The open planned kitchen and living room provide a generous amount of natural light. The living room has a massive smart tv and comfy recliner chairs and the kitchen is well equipped, as well as being a very clean and Morden kitchen. The garden is just beautiful, it’s well kept and 100% enclosed! We have a small dachshund who told us himself the garden was escape proof! There is a lovely big table which we enjoyed during the summer nights dining alfresco. As well as the fabulous hot tub which is a god send at the end of a busy day. This cottage is absolutely perfect and extremely dog friendly as well as being clean and modern. It is faultless. The hosts are also very welcoming. I could not recommend this cottage anymore!!

We have just completed our stay at Briars Cottage over the Christmas period. The cottage is beautiful and has everything that you could possibly need and more. We were hugely disappointed that the shower broke and we were unable to shower over our stay. There was a bath but made use of the hot tub very limited. We’re gutted as this was our only issue whilst staying here and is something we saved up to do the whole year! It’s very dog friendly as we have a 45kg dog and he loved running round in the garden with no problems.
