Hornby Cottage

Hornby Cottage is a detached property built to accommodate larger groups comfortably. Four bedrooms sleep eight: three with double beds and one with two singles. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, plus a separate toilet on the ground floor. The living spaces include a dining room, a sitting room with a woodburner and Smart TV, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—gas cooker, oven and hob, plus dishwasher and washing machine. You have your own garden and parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

The cottage stands in the Wyre area near Preston, within reach of Blackpool's beaches (about 10 miles away, served by regular buses) and the Lake District (roughly an hour's drive). Manchester and Liverpool are similarly accessible by car. Locally, the village has a restaurant and riverside walks. Essentials including heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided, along with fuel for the woodburner. The entrance has two steps. No smoking indoors.
