We had such an amazing Easter weekend at Acorn Glade! My boyfriend and I totally fell in love with the place - it’s so calm and peaceful. We stayed in the Starlight Mirror Dome and it was honestly one of the best experiences. Seeing the alpacas wandering around, plus the lake and all the nature right outside, was just so special. Wendy and Andrew were the nicest - always making sure we had everything we needed while also sharing lovely stories with us. You can tell they’ve put so much thought into everything, and it was all spotless. We also loved hanging out in the Roost, playing games or just relaxing by the fire. Couldn’t recommend this glamping experience more, we’re already excited to go back!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at Acorn Glade 🤗 We stayed for 3 nights, splitting our time between Starlight and Daisy… there no small amount of discussion over who got which. Daisy was cosy, warm and exceptionally comfortable. Starlight offered that same comfort, with the added experience of drifting off under the stars and waking to panoramic views across the lake. Both spaces have wood stoves, which made them inviting and easy to settle into, even in February. Starlight itself is beautifully designed: a mirrored dome that reflects the surrounding landscape, with Scandinavian-style interiors and a deliciously large circular bed. What truly set the stay apart, however, were the hosts. Wendy and Andrew struck the balance perfectly… present when needed, never intrusive and always happy to share their wealth of local knowledge and elevate our entire trip. It was a magical, relaxing and genuinely restorative few days. A proper “getaway from it all.” We will be back.

Andrew and Wendy were the perfect hosts. We stayed in Daisy (The most beautiful wooden round house) and it had everything we could have wanted. The location was perfect to allow us to go and visit the city of York.

We had such a lovely time at Acorn Glade! I couldn’t recommend more!!!☺️ The accommodation was gorgeous and I felt so relaxed in such an amazing location. We were surrounded by birds and animals and we were truly able to switch off. The owners were so accommodating and treated us as friends, all whilst giving us space to relax too! They invited us to watch F1 with them and shared their amazing stories (you have to go just to hear about their life experiences!!). They are genuine lovely people, giving us advice about local spots and even leaving us notes and tea cakes! If you’re looking for a place amongst nature to relax, this is the perfect getaway. I look forward to revisiting! Thank you so much Wendy and Andrew.
