About Willow Caravan Park

Those who wish to experience the attractions of York while waking to endless green fields and dense woodland should consider this peaceful, adults-only site. You can catch a bus at the end of the drive straight into the city – no need to navigate York's medieval streets yourself – or it's just 15 minutes by car to reach the Minster. Closer still is Clifton Moor Retail Park, five minutes away, with supermarkets, a multiscreen cinema and ten-pin bowling for rainy days.

Back on site, two wildlife ponds invite gentle strolls among ducks and bullrushes, while the on-site café serves generous cooked breakfasts, sandwiches and afternoon teas with home-made cakes, all using locally sourced produce. Guests consistently praise the delicious food and the clean, heated shower and toilet blocks. Four-legged friends are welcome year-round, with Westfield Wood nearby for longer rambles. Facilities include a wet room, washing-up area, laundry and disabled access, though some visitors note the walk to the facilities can feel a little long from certain pitches.

We’ve just stayed at this campsite and absolutely loved it! The location was perfect — there’s a bowling alley directly opposite, Pool Bridge Farm is only a 15-minute drive away, and there’s a bus stop nearby with just a 15-minute journey into the town centre. The amenities were genuinely 5-star and everything was kept spotless and well maintained. The site had such a welcoming atmosphere and made for a really relaxing stay. We highly recommend this campsite and will definitely be back!

A wonderful little gem of a campsite, perfectly located for exploring the countryside around York. I stayed for my very first Tesla camping experience on camp mode and couldn't have picked a better spot to try it out! A special mention to Sarah who was incredibly helpful when I called to book - I rang on the day and she couldn't have been more accommodating. That kind of personal service really sets a place apart. The facilities were well maintained and heated - genuinely impressive for a small site. The pitches are beautifully presented and I found the most perfect little spot for my car and pop-up tent. Lovely woodland walks right on the doorstep which my dog Molsey absolutely loved. The on-site café looked adorable too - we'll definitely be making use of that next time! Peaceful, beautifully run and a real find. The whole experience exceeded expectations and has set the bar high for the road trip we have planned soon. We'll definitely be back. 🐾

I had 2 nights at this very peaceful, adult only site. I was in my camper on electric hook up. The pitches are spacious and the toilet/shower blocks were about 100m from my pitch. The block was clean and heated, with nice hot showers. The no.40 bus stop is right outside the site and offers sunday/bank hol bus service into York, which takes less than 20mins, this was a bonus as some York villages dont have sunday bus service. I didnt eat in the cafe though it was very popular. I would deffo stay here again.

Lovely site for touring, we tried our roof tent for the first time here and was great, even with storm Dave raging! Facilities are good and clean and location is spot on. Only recommendation I have is either take a splitter or an extra hookup extension lead as the one closest to the only place we could pitch was fully taken up
