Very comfortable second stay at this hotel Convenient for us to cycle in and out of York. Bed was comfortable, environment was quiet, plenty of parking. Breakfast tasty, staff helpful. Rooms a little dated, but there is everything you need. We also visited the Everlast Gym (2.1 miles away on trading estate with free parking) for swimming, steam room and sauna. Voucher available from reception. Thank you all for a lovely weekend!

My first time here and I was blown away by the service. It even has room service with light snacks and they’re delicious. The duty manager has the most amazing customer service skills. He was prompt and had this infectious smile that cheered you up. Reception are also great and between the 2 I interacted with they were more than helpful. The bar is really warm and the grounds are lovely. Yes the rooms need a bit of an update, mainly on furniture. But I will be coming back

We got married at the Mercure York Fairfield Manor on Saturday and honestly, we cannot recommend it enough. Our coordinator, Beth, was amazing from start to finish. She made me feel at ease straight away and really helped with all our planning. She ensured everything ran smoothly on the day and is an absolute asset to the hotel. All the staff have been fantastic, nothing is too much to ask. Everyone checked in with us as we passed, came to find us when they needed to check something, made sure we had everything we needed etc. I’d also like to thank Martin, the night porter, who really couldn’t have been more helpful at 5am on the morning of our wedding! The food (we had canapés, wedding breakfast, bar meals, breakfast and restaurant menu) was all amazing. All our guests commented how great the food was. We had the bridal suite which was lovely too. The hotel is really beautiful and the grounds make for amazing wedding photos. It’s immaculately clean. We can’t wait to visit again, but would highly recommend here for those seeking a hotel, or for a wedding! Particularly, the outdoor ceremony area and grounds, which were a huge part of why we chose here. Thank you everyone at the Mercure. You made our day just perfect!
