Holtby Grange Cottages - Applegate Cottage

Applegate Cottage is a barn conversion at Holtby Grange, a cluster of five holiday properties arranged around a central courtyard on the outskirts of Holtby village, five miles from York. The whole place is yours alone. A private drive leads through countryside to the site, where a gated courtyard with manicured hedges and a pond creates a quiet base to return to after visiting the city. Your entrance takes you straight into the open-plan heart of the cottage: kitchen, dining and living areas flow together under a vaulted ceiling, with a woodburner set into a feature wall. The kitchen has everything you need to cook properly—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, substantial worktops—as well as a Belfast sink and granite surfaces.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor. The first has a zip-and-link super king bed (which can be split into two singles on request) and its own ensuite with a cubicle shower. The second bedroom has two single beds, served by a bathroom with a bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There's private parking for two cars and access to a shared utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The shared courtyard garden has a patio, lawn, garden furniture, a barbecue and a summerhouse. The property is no-smoking. A fenced pond sits about 100 yards away in the garden area.
