About York Caravan Park
York Caravan Park offers a straightforward, year-round base just outside the historic city, with pitches featuring electric hook-up and decent facilities including showers and WiFi. The adult-only policy keeps things peaceful, and dogs are welcome, making it a practical choice for couples touring the area.
While it won't win prizes for character or landscaping, the site's real selling point is location – you're perfectly positioned for exploring York's medieval streets, the North York Moors, and the Yorkshire Dales. It's the sort of no-nonsense stopover that gets you where you need to be without unnecessary fuss.

What visitors say
This is an excellent site, probably one of the best we have used and, we have used many across the UK. We booked our stay online and found the site easy to navigate and providing the information needed. The site entrance has a barrier operated with a fob issued once you have checked in at reception. We had a fully serviced pitch consisting of an EHU, fresh water, brown water drainage and a flat gravelled area large enough for a motorhome or car and caravan. Each fully serviced pitch is surrounded by 3 hedges. The site has a central lake, with wild fowl and, guests are welcomed to fish. We did spot large goldfish. The facilities are excellent with 8 very large individual unisex shower rooms consisting of a powerful shower, toilet, hairdryer, mirror, seating and clothes hooks. There are also separate toilets/washrooms for both sexes. A laundry room with washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities; this room also houses books and dvds. There's also a dog walk. Directly outside the site entrance is the bus stop into York (842 or 843), which costs £3 each way and runs every 30 minutes weekdays and every hour on a Sunday. An excellent site that we'll visit again. We felt this site is priced right and not overpriced like many (non membership) sites owned by a well known club.

I had a wonderful stay at York Caravan Park & Storage. The park is located in a quiet, idyllic setting surrounded by greenery and is perfect for getting away from it all. What particularly impressed me: - The campsites are surrounded by hedges, which really offers a lot of privacy - The cleanliness is top-notch—everything is well-maintained and in excellent condition - The staff is friendly and helpful—you feel welcome right away - The peaceful atmosphere makes for true relaxation - York is easily accessible by bike in about 15 minutes—it’s flat and straight, so absolutely hassle-free The location is ideal for exploring the city while still being able to unwind in nature in the evenings.

Lovely place to enjoy York. The site was immaculate with good sized pitches( we were so fortunate to be upgraded to a larger pitch for our very large tent) The showers were immaculate clean and very spacious. The staff were very helpful recommending places to eat. Overall a great value adults only site willing an excellent location to visit York or the nearby retail parks.

A fabulous site, very welcoming on arrival and very helpful if you needed anything. We stayed over the Easter weekend and it was so peaceful! The site was full but as it’s adults only you really could relax! Big plus for us was the dog field, our sausage dog loved it! The only down side was the elson point, it didn’t drain away fast enough even though the manager rodded it daily! Think it really needs an upgrade to keep up to the standards of the rest of the site. We will definitely be back!
