The property is one of five semi-detached cottages arranged around a shared courtyard with landscaped grounds, a summerhouse and seating areas. You have exclusive use of the whole cottage, with private parking for two cars and direct access to an enclosed lawned garden with a patio, terrace and barbecue.
Inside, the ground floor is one open-plan space: a kitchen with an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and granite worktops opens into a dining and living area with a wood burner and 40-inch television. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two with super kingsize beds and ensuite facilities, one with twin singles—each with its own bathroom. The property sleeps six and comes with bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating included. There is a utility room on-site with washing machine and tumble dryer (shared access).
The cottage suits families or groups wanting to cook for themselves and explore York without staying in the city. A bike store is available. Please note there is a pond in the shared garden area. Smoking is not permitted inside.

We booked all 5 cottages for our wedding party for the weekend. It was a stunningly beautiful setting with the communal courtyard providing a relaxing setting in the sun (and very well soundproofed both in the courtyard and the cottages). The location is only 15mins ish from York and is in the middle of nowhere meaning it had such peaceful surroundings. The cottage I stayed in, Applegate, had 2 bedrooms/bathrooms and everything we needed kitchen wise (inc sugar/tea/coffee etc, but having some salt and pepper would have been nice). Excellent communication from Elaine and kindly helped us out when I messed up an element of the booking. Thank you!

Am amazing find. . Superb spacious quality accommodation in the most tranquil of settings and just 4 miles from the hustle and bustle of York. We will be back and would most definitely recommend.

On a Hen-Do weekend in these cottages. What a beautiful venue, with beautiful views, clean and tidy rooms with everything you need 13 guests plenty of room and modern, high specification facilities. Will 100% be coming again 10/10
