Been meaning to write this review for a while but I kept forgetting! I brought my boyfriend here to celebrate his 30th. What an amazing place this is, hosted by 2 really lovely people, Simon & Andrea. The room was very large and decorated beautifully, it was very clean and tidy. There was homemade biscotti biscuits, which my boyfriend loved, and they were even topped up after he ate all of them. Simon & Andrea also gifted us a bottle of prosecco and a birthday card for my boyfriend, which was really generous and considerate of them! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, all homemade and locally sourced from other small businesses. The pancakes were my favourite, I've never had any like them before! We would love to come here just for the breakfast alone. Simon & Andrea were very warm and welcoming, they both took time out of their busy schedules to chat to us and ask about our day/weekend. They offered advice and directions for restaurants. The B&B is a very short walk to the city centre, and it's only a stone's throw away from the beautiful park in York, which we walked through to get to the city centre. I cannot recommend this place enough! 100% worth the money. This has to be the best B&B I have stayed in, in the UK.

A wonderful stay. Ideal location, immaculate and well appointed room (the fridge has real milk! None of your UHT rubbish), and the breakfasts are excellent. The hosts, Simon and Andrea, are extremely helpful, thoughtful, and friendly. Will we go again? You bet.

Booked at No. 21 York on a Rick Steves guidebook recommendation. Simon and Andrea were absolutely wonderful! The room was lovely and the breakfast was tailored to our dietary needs. They did our laundry (extra fee) whilst we were out one day. The only small problem was that the laundry was highly scented, and I should have asked for a scent-free option. Highly recommend No. 21 York if you enjoy a personalized experience.

This was the perfect place for my husband and me to stay on our babymoon in York! Simon and Andrea are so welcoming and full of ideas for fun activities in the area. Breakfast was delicious (I'm still thinking of the baked beans with mustard and the homemade bread) and our room was comfortable and pretty. I hope I can go back to York someday, and when I do, I don't want to stay anywhere else.
