What visitors say
What a fantastic place! We managed to spend the full day here, so many experiments and interactive experiences! We managed to have a go on everything! Our son (9) had a great day and there was plenty of staff around to ask questions to! The cafe adjoined (Grub) was tasty, reasonably priced and had a great selection of food and drink! If you’re visiting Aberdeen and would like to have fun and a family day out then I can’t recommend enough!

Two years ago this would have been a five star review, unfortunately things have changed since I last visited Various exhibitions appear to broken or missing key components, lots of the interactive pieces on the top floor have reduced in size or components since the last time I visited, lots of exhibits are completely broken or out of service and several exhibits that rely on computer interaction seem to be massively bugged. The Lego animation computer seems to display a completely random picture, the barcode scanner seems to display whatever it wants to and the body interaction exhibit computer shows an activate windows watermark. When I took my kids here two years ago everything worked perfectly and they enjoyed every exhibit. This was slightly disappointing on this visit. There also seems to have been nothing new provided apart from some commercially sponsored new theatre room, which not surprisingly, wasn't actually working when we went into it. I was somewhat disappointed by all this, even though the kids still enjoyed the visit, it was let down somewhat by all the issues above.

Aberdeen Science Centre is fantastic for kids. Everything is hands-on, interactive, and designed to make science feel like play rather than school. The exhibits are engaging for different ages, the live shows are fun and exciting, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great place for families—educational, entertaining, and definitely worth visiting more than once.

Deployed over 2 floors, it’s interesting especially for school-age children. Not all devices work perfectly, yet its overall maintenance level is good. If you are with children, you could easily spend 2-3 hours here; If not, 45 min could be enough.
