Attended a Ice hockey match. Full House great family atmosphere tickets were reasonably priced £12 adults £8 for a child small children go free. Quick and easy entry a raffle and throw the puck game between the 2nd and 3rd period were great. Food and drink all reasonably priced also. Would advise plenty layers of clothing especially for those that feel the cold.

My family and I started coming to the Linx arena at the start of the 2025 hockey season. We've had fun watching the team, meeting fans and interacting with the players afterwards. There's been some great games, okay games and down right terrible games. But the players are all quite friendly and have made quite an impact on my daughter. We've enjoyed our experience in that regards. For hockey, this arena isn't suitable. Honestly, it's just too small. The ice size compared to Dundee (as an example) is small and the overall quality of the ice is poor. The seats are also uncomfortable and thoroughly abused by people constantly climbing and putting their feet on them. The zamboni door is constantly broken, delaying games by up to 20 minutes at a time. It's a sad state of a place. In regards to the quality of the ice. I don't know if it's down to the drivers of the zamboni or what. But watching these people fly around the ice leaving streaks, bubbles and other marks from going too fast might have something to do with it. I was under the impression that these machines need to go slow to smooth out the ice. The state of the ice has left holes, bumps and indents that have caused people to trip and really hurt themselves during skating sessions. Talking of skating sessions. My daughter decided to take up ice skating so she can join her local hockey team. A noble goal for a 10 yr old. We've been two or three times a day every week since October 2025 and we've had very positive experiences and really bad ones. The good experiences is the majority of the staff are very friendly and so is the majority of the people who attend the skating sessions that we've met. Many people have helped my daughter improve her technique, made friends and it's been very fun However, the lack of sessions for people who want to do hockey is a crying shame. The figure skaters get way too much time on the daily schedules and very little dedicated to those who want to practice techniques outwith figure skating. This also goes with the figure skaters themselves who tend to walk around the place and skate around like they own the place, a huge sense of entitlement. They've made my children as well as others feel incredibly unwelcome when they try to use more than the outside of the rink or even use the locker benches which they apparently claim for themselves and only themselves. (No you silly tart, they're not for your stretches!) The amount of times my daughter has been tripped and knocked over by figure skaters flying across the rink on their mobile phones, using headphones and I've even seen one who likes to smoke pot in the carpark. I've seen many tripped by these people as they attempt to cross the middle of the rink without looking etc is appauling. So far since October, my daughter has had road rash on all of her limbs, the top of her head alongside a concussion, broken her wrist and bruised a rib. To her credit she's pushed on but has suffered physically at the hands of others who are very unaware of their surroundings. There's also a huge problem with parents using the place like a child daycare centre. Kids get dumped there for hours at a time. They climb over EVERYTHING. Scream and run around like it's the play area in Cadonas. I've seen seats being damaged. I've seen them damage the team benches, toilets, leaving rubbish everywhere and even splattering their juice all over the glass. It's incredibly annoying. This goes for sessions as well as hockey games. This has been a somewhat negative review but honestly, it's the truth. There's plenty of things we like about the place. It has a much better community spirit than Dundee's ice rink, for example. But there's so much that needs to be improved, fixed or changed. I know with the lack of help from the local council etc, it'll never happen and a lot of it isn't the fault of the (very pleasant and helpful) staff. But it still needs to be said.

Your Staff Are Amazing! Came here to fulfil the wish of a resident of the care home I work for. She used to be a pro figure skater and coach and wanted to get on the ice again! Staff were incredibly helpful, getting an ice chair ready and helping on and off the ice. They were very kind, letting us in for free as it was only a 1/2hour we were going in for. Thank you, you helped make a wonderful old lady's wish come true! Special mention made to the staff who were on on 13/11/2025 at 2pm!
