This isn’t a 4 star hotel. 2 stars at best. Rooms haven’t been updated since the ‘70’s. Staff mostly uninterested. Want your room cleaned? Don’t bother putting the notice to clean on the door. It will be ignored. This is a local pub with a rundown hotel attached to it. The food in the restaurant is best avoided.

Cheap and cheerful. The room smelled musty and had various marks on wall, but was clean and bathroom was nice. Had to have the window open the whole time as room was absolutely boiling. However, very reasonable, and I thought it may be loud at night but it was silent and had a comfortable sleep.

Problem I had on my visit was I was given a room ( 102 ) which is above where smokers gather so all I heard was chatter chatter chatter and this went on well after midnight the residents late night door should have a soft close on it as the bang you hear from it if u just let it go especially if in room 102 is like a bomb going of . I understand bar has late licence , so in morning I asked for a room change which hotel where more than happy to do . ( Room 207 at the back ) Which was excellent away from the noise , Would defo stay there again as excellent price for the West end of Aberdeen . Bar & Restaurant looked amazing but as I was with my dog I never got to enjoy and they don't charge for a dog which others in Aberdeen do . Even thou 1st experience wasn't the best I will return to this hotel again and again as it really does suit me and the dog .

Great value ! Room is compact, clean and modern. Tv is up to date. They provide iron + board, hairdryer etc if you need it. The only downside is no breakfast. Pet friendly
