Dairy Cottage

Aberdeenshire

View on Google Maps

Rural Aberdeenshire around Alford sits between the Cairngorms and the River Don, with Bennachie and Coreen hills framing the landscape. Walking starts from the doorstep, and the village itself has a swimming pool, sports centre, museums including the Grampian Transport Museum, a narrow gauge railway, and a country park. Fishing, golf, mountain biking and climbing are all nearby, along with Craigievar Castle three miles south.

Dairy Cottage is a detached house on the Whitehouse Estate, sleeping six across three bedrooms: a super kingsize with its own shower and toilet, and two rooms with single beds each. The main floor holds an open-plan living space with a woodburner, dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave. A second bathroom serves the upstairs rooms. Bed linen, towels and heating are included; initial logs for the fire come with the booking. The garden is enclosed and lawned, with five steps down to it, and there is parking for two cars on site. One well-behaved pet stays free.

No smoking inside. A highchair is available on request.
