Aberdeenshire's rural landscape draws visitors for its working farms, country estates and access to the Cairngorms. Guise Cottage sits on a working cattle and sheep farm five miles from the village of Alford, offering a quiet base for exploring the region. The property is yours alone: a semi-detached cottage with two double bedrooms (one upstairs, one on the ground floor) and a shower room, sleeping up to four guests.
The ground floor centres on a combined kitchen and dining area with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, plus a separate living room where a wood burner provides warmth on cooler evenings. A conservatory opens onto the garden and patio. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. There's parking for two cars on site. No smoking is permitted.
The North-East has plenty within reach: Alford itself has a bistro and pub, while Haughton Country Park offers walks nearby. The Grampian Transport Museum and Alford Heritage Centre are close by, and the Cairngorms National Park is further afield for those wanting to venture into the mountains. Arrive after 14:00 and depart before 10:00.
