East Balnacraig

East Balnacraig is a cottage on the Ballogie estate in the heart of Royal Deeside, surrounded by moorland, Scots pine and working farmland. The building sits at ground level with level access to the entrance. Inside, an open-plan ground floor combines living space with a dining area and kitchen equipped for self-catering—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge—plus a woodburner and Freeview TV. A kingsize bedroom and shower room complete this floor. Upstairs are two further bedrooms: another kingsize and a twin, sharing a bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate cubicle shower. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are all included, and one pet stays free of charge.

The cottage comes with parking for two cars and an enclosed front garden with patio and furniture. The location works for outdoor-minded visitors: the River Dee is close by for fishing, the Forest of Birse and Glencatt are within reach, and long walks through the estate and surrounding countryside are readily available. Aboyne is five miles away, Banchory nine miles, and Aberdeen just under an hour's drive. Nearby attractions include several National Trust for Scotland properties—Craigievar, Crathes and Drum. No smoking indoors.
