Royal Deeside is prime territory for outdoor pursuits. The Cairngorms are within reach for hiking and mountain biking, while the River Dee draws anglers and canoeists. Aboyne itself hosts the annual Highland Games, and there are numerous distilleries, castles and country estates scattered across the region—Balmoral is close by, as are Crathes and Drum. For quieter time, the woodland walks on the estate itself offer immediate escape from the house.
Ballogie House occupies grounds on the estate with mature trees, open parkland and views toward the hills. Inside, eight bedrooms spread across three floors provide space for up to 16 people, each with ensuite facilities. One ground-floor bedroom suits anyone preferring to avoid stairs. The house centres on a kitchen fitted for cooking at scale, a dining space for long meals, living areas with fires, a cinema room, games room with pool table, and an orangery overlooking the garden. A six-person hot tub sits on the patio, private parking accommodates 15 cars, and one dog stays free of charge. Essentials including heating, linen, towels and wifi are provided.
The house works for extended family gatherings, wedding parties, or groups of friends seeking a retreat with genuine comfort and enough activities to suit all ages. No smoking indoors; arrive after 3pm, depart by 11am.

Attended the recent Wedding open weekend with an exhibitor and I was blown away with the surroundings at Ballogie House. The photo opportunities are endless! Gorgeous house and marquee, perfect for all occasions. The events staff were so nice and knowledgeable. It’s a must visit!

Ballogie House is the perfect wedding venue! We had a reasonably small wedding (43 day guests) and Ballogie House was the perfect size. It has the most stunning backdrop and the house itself is immaculate. Perfect for making a whole weekend out of the celebrations! I couldn't recommend Ballogie House more. Thanks to Charlotte for being a wonderful wedding co-ordinator too and running our day perfectly.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE VENUE WITH ENDLESS LOCATIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY! 🌾🌞🌿 These guys go completely above & beyond what is expected of them and they do absolutely everything they can to make sure your wedding day goes effortlessly. I really had a blast hanging out with you all in such a beautiful and positive setting so thanks again! xx

Stayed at Ballogie House for Christmas with my family. Had the best Christmas ever!!! Games room was ace and all the rooms were huge!! We even had snow!!!. Cant wait to go back and I would thoroughly recomend it to anyone. Thank you to everyone there who helped make our Christmas a very special one indeed!!
